Building an Ad Campaign for Kramer’s Tavern
This post is dedicated to informing and recording the development of a group project for my Marketing 421: Advertising course.
We have selected Kramer’s Tavern, located at 1018 Irving Ave. in Dayton, Ohio, to aid us in our project. We are asked to gather budget, target audience, and other research from the owner and establishment and develop a potential advertisement campaign. Please keep in mind that we do not actually advertise or receive money, this is a fake advertising campaign.
03-10-2006:
We have already obtained our perceived annual budget of $5,000. We have two dominate target audiences: college students and neighborhood blue collar workers. For information about the tavern (history, type of establishment, menu, etc…) please visit my Kramer’s Tavern in Dayton, Ohio post.
As of right now we are trying to select media channel which is probably going to use a mix-media tactic and advertising on campus television, out-door ads (posters), newspapers, and create a web page (which they do not have). The owner strives to keep low prices at all times, but we may introduce some kind of special. For example, happy hour, wing night, group special, etc…
04-04-2006:
We have developed a demo website for Kramer’s Tavern. It is located at

. We are planning on meeting in the near future to develop our outdoor and print advertising strategies and, possibly, some radio and/or television advertising strategies.
04-18-2006:
We have taken upon ourselves to develop different parts of the project. So far we have created two radio spots, a newspaper ad, a demo website, a direct mailing ad, our power point presentation, and developed some PR for Kramer’s. We have also decided to bring in a Kramer’s pizza in sample size pieces for the class. I will attach some of our work thus far.
